Robert Grice

Robert Mitchell "Mickey" Grice, 79, of Melbourne, died Sunday, May 20, 2018. He was born in Melbourne, Arkansas on December 17, 1938 to the late Robert Willis Grice and Harriette (Courtney) Grice. Mickey was the owner of a local carpet and flooring store. After he completed high school, he continued his education at Arkansas College graduating in 1962. Before he became the owner of a business, he taught history at Melbourne High School. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his family and friends. Survivors include daughters, Robin Kerr and husband, Allen, of Melbourne and Mary Beth Duncan and husband, Jon, of Batesville; and three grandchildren, Matthew Kerr, Rachel Kerr and Pierce Duncan. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Elkins of Oxford. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife (of 33 years), Virginia (Ford) Grice. Pallbearers will be Randy Yancey, Allen Kerr, Jon Duncan, Trey Lamb, Pierce Duncan, and Matthew Kerr. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cave City Cemetery with Danny Brightwell officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne.
