Bonnie McLean Canada, 82, of White Hall, Arkansas, formerly of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died Friday, May 18, 2018. She was born August 14, 1935 in Ridgely, Tennessee, daughter of Jessie and Mable Murray McLea. Bonnie was reared and received her early education in Memphis, Tennessee at Bellevue Junior High School and then attended one year at Central High School in Memphis. Bonnie graduated from Washington High School in Washington, New Jersey. Bonnie attended Cheycharay Business College in Pennsylvania. Bonnie was married to Roger Canada from March 7, 1955 through October 24, 1979. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Dyersburg, Tennessee before moving to Arkansas. Bonnie was devoted to her family. As an only child, she took care of her parents when they became ill. As a mother and grandmother, she devoted much of her time to raising her son and later taking care of her two grandchildren as long as she was able. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her son, Jay Canada and his wife, Tammie, of White Hall; and two grandchildren, Cade and Kennedy Canada, both of White Hall. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018 in the Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Visitation will Saturday from Noon until service time at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
