Rev. Sylvia Nosic, 84, of Sherwood, went into the arms of the Lord on May 19, 2018. She was born February 9, 1934, in Little Rock, to Evans Vaughn Sanders, Sr. and Pauline Omelia Sanders. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Evans Vaughn Sanders, Jr., and by cousins, Bobbie and Ernie Medlin. Sylvia was an ordained Methodist minister and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Theology. During her ministry, she pastored several churches in Arkansas including Quitman United Methodist Church, Dumas Memorial United Methodist Church in El Dorado, Wye Mountain United Methodist Church and Western Hills United Methodist Church in Little Rock. She also retired from the US Postal Service. She loved God and her family. She is survived by her four children, Paula Miles (Bruce), Patricia Patton, Diana Roberts, and Anita Johnston (Chris), all of Sherwood; six grandchildren, Randy Roberts, Jr. (Jessica), Amber Patton (Justin), Stephanie Roberts, Matthew Hodges, Tom Watson, and Cory Watson; by four great-grandchildren, Avery, Patrick, Eden, and Ezra; nephew, Andy Sanders; great nephew, A.J. Sanders (Ashley); great great-nephew, Dylan Sanders; and by cousins who she loved dearly, Kay Medlin, Gay Carpenter, Scott Kimbell and Belinda Floyd. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 30, at 10 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock.
