Maureen Suzanne Babbitt, beloved daughter of Dr. Wayne and Eleanor Babbitt passed away on May 13 after a valiant battle with CNS lymphoma. She was born March 26, 1958 in Little Rock and she grew up in the country side. Being the daughter of a veterinarian, a love for animals and the outdoors came naturally to her. She loved exploring the woods and diving in the oceans, and she loved her own animal companions especially her king cavalier spaniel, Winston Churchill. Maureen's beauty was matched by a keen intelligence and mind for business. This served her well in various jobs throughout the years most notably as a successful business owner in Hot Springs of Body and Bath Essentials, and in her last job as general manager of the Quapaw Quarter Bath House overseeing the facility and more than 40 employees. Maureen was always kind, gracious and thoughtful. She was a dedicated sister, relative and friend. She will be forever missed. She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her sister, Holly Babbitt Abraham and a brother, Mark Babbitt. Also two nieces, Brittney Robison and Neely Hall and their children; and notably her dearest friend for life, Amy Gray Light.
