Helen Virginia Ashcraft

Helen "Virginia" Lasiter Ashcraft, age 84 of Warren, Ark., formerly of Pine Bluff, Ark., died Monday, May 28th in the Baptist Hospital at Little Rock. She was born Feb. 22, 1934 in Warren, Ark., a daughter of the late Marion Lee Lasiter and Bessie Reep Lasiter. She was a retiree of Central Maloney for decades, a member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church, a 1952 graduate of the Warren Public Schools and the widow of Thomas Ashcraft, whom she married Oct. 22, 1964 and he died Nov. 6 2006. A sister Lois Benson, brothers Travis Lasiter and James "Booty" Lasiter also preceded her in death. "Ginger" loved reading and spending time with her family, she was full of fun and loved by all. Surviving is a sister Shirly Lowry, Crossett, Ark., and a sister in law Mayme Lasiter, Warren, Ark., along with a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30th at Frazer's Chapel. Burial in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 1 p.m. till service time on Wednesday, May 30 at Frazer's Funeral Home.
