Euvaughn Blake

Euvaughn Blake, 83, died Monday, October 29, 2018 at the Baptist Medical Center in North Little Rock. He was born September 29, 1935 in Harrisburg to the late Ralph and Ethan James Blake. He graduated from Harrisburg High School and attended Arkansas State College. He served his country in the United States Air Force spending much of his time in Morocco. After service, he began his career as a linotype operator for the Marked Tree Tribune, before moving to the Jonesboro Sun. He later accepted a position and spent many years with the Democrat Printing and Litho Company in Little Rock. After retiring he enjoyed golf, fishing, and had a love of traveling. He was a member of the Church of Christ and early loved visiting with his friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was a caregiver to many people and enjoyed being outside and taking care of the yard. Vaughn is survived by his wife of 58, Martha Woodham Blake; his brother, Alvis Blake (Barbara) of Olive Branch, Miss. and several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Jack Fendley and staff, and the Springhill Baptist Memorial Hospital and Rehab for the loving care they provided. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, November 2nd at 11 a.m. with visitation preceding the service at 10 a.m. at Gregg-Weston Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Burial will follow at the Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Services will be conducted by his brother-in-law, Larry Lace and his nephew, Carl Woodham Jr. Pallbearers will be his nephews.
