Nancy Sullivan Bray

Nancy Sullivan Bray, age 81, of Pine Bluff, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2018. Born Jan. 22, 1937 at Princeton (Dallas County), Ark., she was a daughter of the late I. D. Sullivan and Mornia Dale Walters Sullivan. She moved to Donaldson, Ark., as a young child and graduated from Donaldson High School. A resident of Pine Bluff since 1954, Mrs. Bray was a member of East Side Baptist Church. She was very active in any of her children's and grandchildren's activities, and never missed an event. Even as her health began to fail over the years, she always had a big smile for everyone she met. Mrs. Bray worked as a teaching assistant in the Pine Bluff School District from the 1970's until her retirement in 2002. She married Bryson Harold Bray on Nov. 22, 1953, and he predeceased her on Dec. 5, 2001. Also preceding her in death are a daughter, Becky Bray Hudson; a brother, Robert Sullivan; and a special friend, Martha Penny. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Bray Wheeler (Jack) of Pine Bluff; a son, Brett Bray (Wendy) of Russellville; a sister, Jackie Morin of Donaldson; four grandchildren, Zachary Wheeler, Kristofer Hudson (Angela), Mackenzie Bray, and Madeline Bray; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Lynn Penny Carter, Kim Penny Bullock, and Don and Angela Smith, along with many other loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Brother Josh Dutton and Mr. David Beck officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
