Jerry Eugene Davenport

Jerry Eugene Davenport of Sherwood went to be with the Lord October 31, 2018. He was born at Hahn Air Force base, Germany on January 30, 1962. He graduated Sylvan Hills High School 1981 and joined the National Guard. He worked for many years in the trucking industry and loved working with his hands. Jerry was a loving dad, Peepaw, and friend. He never met a stranger and attempted to help anyone in need with a sense urgency. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Grover Davenport, and sister, Tina Willum. He is survived by daughter, Jennifer Burgess (Michael) of Sherwood, son, Jason Davenport (Tiffany) of North Little Rock, granddaughter, MaryRuth Davenport of North Little Rock, sister, Tammy Tabor of Sherwood, brother, Mike Davenport of O'Fallon, Ill., and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, starting at 10 a.m. with service at 12 noon, both at Sylvan Hills Community Church, Sherwood. Interment to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
