George William Reed

George William Reed, age 86, of Little Rock, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018, at the VA Hospital. He was born January  9, 1932, in Blytheville, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Simone Ginette (Couplet) Reed of Berck-Sur-Mer, France and his parents, Judge L. Neill and Ruth (Weidemyer) Reed. He is survived by his son, Neill William Reed of North Little Rock and his granddaughter, Bridget Jolie Reed of Roland. George joined the Air Force in 1952 and served his country proudly for twenty years. He was an avid reader, a historian, and a vivid story teller. He loved his canine companions. He stayed young at heart to the end of his days. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 10 at 1 p.m. at the home of Bridget Reed, 16901 Hwy. 300, Roland. The family wishes to thank his caregiver, Kevin, and the VA for their dedicated and excellent care. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society or the VA.
