Claudy "Dean" Caudell, 84, went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2018, after a life well-lived. He was born on November 12, 1933, to Homer and Hazel Caudell on Petit Jean Mountain. He was a member of Grant County First Southern Baptist Church in Sheridan. Dean was a "Navy Man," serving in the Korean War before working for more than 20 years in California at one of the country's largest wineries, working up from a "C" mechanic to assistant plant manager. His life was lived testifying for his Lord and Savior and caring for his family, extended family, and whoever else needed a helping hand. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Louise Kennedy and Jeanette Pillig, two brothers, David and Bud Caudell, a son, Tony Caudell, and a "daughter," Gina Duke. He is survived by his daughters, Sabrina "Bug" Packard (Toby) of Benton, Arkansas and Marcia Stockwell (Robert) of Alta Loma, California, grandchildren, Amy Gooch and Matthew Stockwell, Natieya Rosenbaum and Amanda Bennett, Jacob and Ronnie Caudell, step-grandchildren, Justin McKinley and Allecia Duke, Chance and Drew Packard, and loved by dozens of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Pallbearers include, David Caudell, Michael Caudell, Jacob Caudell, Ronnie Caudell, Matthew Stockwell, and Joshua Moreland. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
