BILL PLUNKETT II, was born Dec. 22, 1947 in North Little Rock, Ark., and died Nov. 9, 2018. He was a favorite son of his home town of North Little Rock, Ark., where he graduated from North Little Rock "Old Main" High School class of 1965. He moved to Fayetteville, where he met the love of his life, Susan, whom he married shortly thereafter. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1971. After graduation, they moved to Little Rock, and he was saved by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They started a family and a career in telecom with Southwestern Bell/AT&T/Lucent Technologies/Sempra Energy that lasted more than three decades and moved him across the country to St Louis, New Hampshire, Kansas City, and Dallas and allowed him to travel to 5 continents. Bill was an Officer in the Arkansas National Guard, President of the Arkansas Professional Engineering Society, member of Acacia Fraternity and Theta Tau Fraternity, and was an avid Racquetball Player and Christian. When he left telecom, he moved back to Little Rock and began his life's calling with Habitat for Humanity. For 14 years, he measured his work by the number of lives he touched helping hundreds of families in central Arkansas have a stable place to call home. Bill was a loving father and son. He is survived by his wife, Susan; two children, Lisa and Whit; five grandchildren, Anna, Grace, Noah, Sam and Will; and lifelong friends whom he loved deeply, all of whom would like to thank you for helping us celebrate the life of this amazing man we loved.
