LOUISE HINDERER passed peacefully from this life on Oct. 22, 2018. She was born on June 23, 1925 in Saranac, Mich., to the late Garrett and Kristine Averill. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 64 years, Roger Hinderer. Louise was an accomplished seamstress and, with her husband, owned Stretch and Sew for several years. She loved teaching the classes and providing home seamstresses the fabrics and techniques that gave professional results. Following the closing of the store, she fell in love with quilting. She displayed her work at local quilt shows. She was also proud of her work in the Altar Guild at Trinity Cathedral. Louise is survived by her cherished brother Edward Averill of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; her children: Drew and Sara Hinderer of Frederick, Mich., Carolyn and Norman Hynes of Little Rock, Ark., and Alan and Maribeth Hinderer of Leawood, Kan. Grandchildren: Kristine Roberson, Kimberly (Brant) Snell, John (Kim) Jarsma, Austin (Jamie) Hinderer, Taylor Hinderer, Jon (Mia) Hynes, and Chris (Julie) Hynes. Great -Grandchildren: Chester Roberson, Isabelle Roberson, Calvin Hynes, Charlie Hynes, Liam Hynes, Logan Hynes, Joshua Snell, Julia Snell and Benjamin Snell. We are grateful to Avenir Memory Care for adding life and kindness to her later years. A memorial service is planned for a later date.
