Angela Mercee Thomas

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing" (2 Timothy 4:7-8, The King James Version). Angela Mercee Thomas began her life's journey on February 8, 1973 in Fayetteville, Ark. She completed her course on November 13, 2018 at Washington Regional Medical Center. Angela graduated from McClellan High School in Little Rock, Ark. in 1991. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Journalism from the University of Arkansas in 2009. Her professional career included Staff Writer for The Arkansas Traveler at the University of Arkansas; and a Personal Health Care Aide with the Arkansas Support Network in Fayetteville, Ark. She was a long time member of the Combs Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville, Ark. Angela was preceded in death by her parents, Daphne Morris and Rupert Thomas Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories, four brothers: Mannanseh (Dr. Creshum) Price of Zachary, La.; Rupert Thomas, Jr. of Raytown, Mo.; Emmanuel Thomas of Raytown, Mo.; and Lowell Thomas of Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Tanya Pessoa of New York; three aunts: Gloria Davis of Old Harbour, Jamaica; Shirley Bernasko of Surrey, London England; and Myrtis Thomas of Kingston, Jamaica; one uncle, Antonio Barnes of Old Harbour, Jamaica; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Beard's Chapel. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2018 at Beard's Chapel.
