Henry J. Revere Jr.

HENRY J. REVERE JR. of Little Rock passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Monday, November 12, 2018 at the age of 83. Known as Buddy to his friends and family, he was born to parents Henry and Esther Revere on July 27, 1935 in North Arlington, N.J. After finishing high school, Buddy served in the US Navy from 1952 until 1955, then joined the US Air Force and served until 1960. That same year, he married Virginia (Ginny) Nellenbach and they have shared a wonderful life together for the last 58 years. As a couple, they raised three daughters, Karen, Michele and Mary. Buddy worked on the Police Force in Bay Head, New Jersey then as a truck driver for Mobile Oil while living in Largo, Fla. After retiring, he and Ginny relocated to Little Rock to be closer to their grandchildren. A committed husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Buddy enjoyed working with his hands doing home projects, traveling and spending time with his family. A life-long Yankees fan, Buddy always enjoyed watching the Yankees whenever they played. Preceding Buddy in death is his brother Gerry. Buddy is survived by his wife, Ginny; his daughters Karen (Dan) Medanich of LaGrange, Ky.; Michele Revere of Little Rock; Mary (Tom) Kleinsorge of Little Rock; granddaughters Krysten (Wade) Pilkington of Little Rock and Ashley Kleinsorge of Little Rock; and great-grandchildren Kylie and Benjamin Pilkington; sisters Sue (Bob) Egan of Manasquan, N.J. and Jane (Rod) Bussell of Decatur, Ill., and sister-in-law Eleanor (Gerry) Revere of New Jersey. A Catholic Mass celebrating Buddy's life will be held Tuesday, November 20 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Buddy's honor to the Monsignor Hebert Endowment Fund at Christ the King Church or to the Little Rock Animal Village.
