Lela Faye (Hood) Madison

Mrs. Lela Faye (Hood) Madison, 72, a resident of Russellville, died Friday, November 16, 2018, at River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle. Faye was born October 25, 1946, at Lakeview, Arkansas, to John Wesley and Juanita Elise (Morrow) Hood. She earned her Bachelors Degree from Ouachita Baptist University, and a Masters Degree from the University of Central Arkansas. She taught in public education for 33 years, retiring from the Huntsville School District. Faye attended First United Methodist Church in Russellville, where she was active in the United Methodist Women's organization. She was passionate about serving others through the faith and ministry of her church & community. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Delois Hood and Sue Hood; and a brother, Jerry Hood. Faye is survived by her husband of 48 years, David Michael Madison; two daughters, Susan (J.B.) Wilson, and Nancy Madison; two sons, Michael Madison, and Voja (Yvonne) Radosavljevic; grandchildren, Kaleb, Natalie, Zach, Camden, Chase, Max, Jackson, Jenna, Riley, Brant, Madison, and Rosie; two brothers, Bob (Terry) Hood, and Joe (Becky) Hood; four sisters, Bonnie Rogers, Margie (Vernon) Gainer, Pat (Paul) Bond, and Janie (Tom) Olson; a brother-in-law, Phil (Carolyn) Madison; and many other nephews & nieces. Countless generations of family members and friends have been loved and touched by the life of "Grandma Faye." The family will visit with friends on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at 2:00 to 4:00PM, at Humphrey Funeral Chapel. A service to celebrate Faye's life will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018, at 1:00PM, at First United Methodist Church in Russellville. Rev. Tony Griffin and Rev. Sarah Lowenberg will officiate. Burial will follow under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
