Silas Roaf Sr.

Silas Roaf Sr., 83, of Pine Bluff was called home by his heavenly Father on Thursday, November 15, 2018. In 1949 he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and served several churches in Benton and Pine Bluff, lastly attending the Eudora Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff serving faithfully until death. In the 1950's he moved to Benton where he resided in the Ralph Bunche Community. He was employed by the Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa) for 34years. After retirement he moved to Jefferson County. In 1957 he married Eloise Jackson and to this union four children were born. His wife Eloise Jackson Roaf and three daughters; Deborah L., Joyce A. and Donna preceded him in death along with two stepsons, George White and Melvin Robinson. In 1992 he married Eula Billingsley who remains to cherish his memory along with a stepdaughter, LaQuana Billingsley, a son, Silas Roaf Jr. (Lesha), eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of his life is 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2018 at True Vine E. Baptist Church Pine Bluff, Arkansas with Reverend Silas Roaf Jr. officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, November 22, 2018 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 2704 Commerce Circle, Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
