Emily Rebecca McCool

Emily "Rebecca" McCool, 86 of Benton, died on November 19, 2018. She was born on January 12, 1932 in the Shaw Community of Benton, Rebecca passed away peacefully with her loving family at her bedside. She was born to the late Albert James Kentner and Anna Mae Brazil Kentner. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. Throughout the end of life stages, even though she couldn't converse the way she wanted to, Rebecca gave a sweet smile to all who came to visit her. She loved her family and friends dearly and cherished their visits. In earlier life, Rebecca loved working in her house and yard. She kept her house spotless and mowed and weeded her yard, she achieved the manicured look she enjoyed. Rebecca worked at Owasso Furniture Company and the Jacuzzi Brothers for several years. One of Rebecca's greatest attributes was the gift of sharing. No matter how much or little, she offered what she had to anyone in need. Rebecca loved having fun, laughing and enjoying life. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Albert James and Anna Mae Kentner, brother, John Kentner, brother, James Kentner, brother, Jeff Kentner, brother, Joe Kentner, sister, Delena Peterson, sister, Sophie Brazil, sister, Imogene Kentner and sister, Emma Brazil. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Teague and her husband, Ricky Teague, two grandchildren, Jodi Willmon and Jeffery Teague, two great-grandchildren, Kalyn Willmon and Holly Willmon. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 11 a.m. on Friday with Melvin Burris officiating. Burial to follow at New Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. before services. Family comments: Mama, Rebecca, Granny Becca, you will be missed every day and live always in our hearts. You were a great role model in teaching us how to treat others who are in need or alone.
