James Terroll Turner

James Terroll Turner, age 65, of Searcy Arkansas, departed this life on November 16th, at Unity Heath Hospital, in Searcy. James was a member of St. Mary's CME Church. James graduated from Searcy high School in 1972, and received his Associate's degree from Arkansas College of Technology in 1984. He joined the United States Army in 1972 and served until 1978. He was employed at Eaton Corporation for 30 years until he retired in 2014. James was a devoted father, husband, grandfather, brother, son, mentor, and friend. He was a strong willed, proud man only humbled by his love for the Lord, his wife Gloria of 45 years and his kids Yvette, James, and Henry. His passion for his family only broaden with the addition of his 5 grandchildren. He could explain the meaning of life in the time it would take to deep fry a turkey. James is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Friday, November 23 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. and funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m., both at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel.
