Bobby Gene Wilson

Bobby Gene Wilson, 81, of Carlisle, Ark., passed away on Nov. 21, 2018. He was born to Henry and Ever on June 6, 1937 in Carlisle, Ark. Bobby worked as a cabinet maker for many years and retired in 1999. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, and hunting. Bobby met Connie Branch in 1957. They were married on June 5, 1959. Together, they raised two "Damn Boys," Dennis Keith and Douglas Bryan. Bobby is survived by Juanita Kinkead, sister; Dennis Wilson, son; Douglas Wilson (Carol), son; Elise Willis (Jerry), sister-in-law; Katy Smith (Chris), granddaughter; Lauren Hawthorne (Daniel), granddaughter; Karsyn and Kori Smith, great-granddaughters; Cooper Hawthorne, great-grandson; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ever Wilson; wife, Connie Ruth Branch Wilson; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters. The family has entrusted Boyd Funeral Home with the arrangements. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 23 from 6-8 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home. Graveside service to take place on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 3 p.m. at Carlisle Cemetery. www.boydfuneralhome.net.
