Tunney Wyatt "T.W." Fitzgerald, age 90, of El Dorado, was born July 22, 1928 to the late James "Jim" Fitzgerald and Ollie Emma Havard Fitzgerald. He went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Maycel Fitzgerald; his parents; a sister, Wanda Watts and husband, Virgil; step-daughter, Karen Lewis; and nieces, Cheryl Watts Vines and Monnie Watts Young, who were like his children because he had none of his own. Survivors include his niece, Janet Watts Boyette and husband, Douglas; seven great-nieces and nephews; fifteen great-great-nieces and nephews; fourteen great-great-great-nieces and nephews; two step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, friends, and three special ladies that meant the world to him. His three nieces, Monnie, Cheryl, and Janet, thought they had to be in his car whenever he moved it. He worked from a very early age the railroad, Hamburger Row, elevator operator, and jewelry seller, but mostly in sales, finally being with AFLAC for 31 years, retiring at age 77. He was in the United States Army from 1950-1952 in Japan and Korea one year. He was also a Gideon and was a Sunday school teacher at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Tunney was baptized at a very early age and continued to love the Lord until his dying breath. He was very knowledgeable about the Bible. Our great family historian, he never had to look anything up. Goodbye Uncle T Dub, we will see you later. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Senior Sunday School Class of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 at Young's. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Pastors Steve Pelz, Rick Stable, and Charles Ainsworth officiating. Burial will follow at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
