Deral Bryan (D.B.) Casteel

Deral Bryan (D.B.) Casteel, age 74 of Cabot passed from this life on Nov. 16, 2018. He was born Dec. 23, 1943 in California to Frank and Opal Casteel. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gerald and Mack Casteel. D.B. was honorably discharged from the Arkansas Army National Guard on May 16, 1991 with over 25 years of service to our country and was a Veteran of the Gulf War. He retired from the Little Rock Police Department on September 2, 2005 as a detective after 25 years of service to the City of Little Rock. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was an active member of the Atkins-Wagnon Hunting Club for 28 years. D.B. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda (Rowlett) Casteel; son, Deral (Rose Mary) Casteel Jr.; daughter, Connie Casteel; son, David (Angie) Casteel; grandchildren, Zac and Rylie Casteel, Bryan McPike and Amanda (Brian) Walters, Madison and Cassidy Casteel, Philip Casteel; great-grandchild, Sam Bryant; brother, Johnny (Brenda) Casteel; sister, Cynthia Casteel and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 26, 2018 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Reverend Ben Leonard officiating. Interment will be noon following the service at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation will be 9–10 a.m., prior to the service.
