Lesa Ruth Schuler, 64, of Centerton passed away Saturday Nov. 17, 2018. She was born Dec. 26, 1953 in Pittsburg, Kan., to the late Victor Luis Koroush and Ella Joann Elliff Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Lewis Schuler and a grandson, Patrick Nicolas Cawthon, who she adored. Lesa graduated from Pittsburg high school, class of 1971. Following graduation, she attended Neosho County College of Nursing and graduated at the top of her class. Lesa was an excellent nurse and nursing was her true calling. For more than 35 years she was the devoted wife of David Schuler, who she loved and missed dearly. She was an avid pet lover and protector, taking care of any stray that wandered into her yard. Even a few wild animals were lucky enough to receive her care and attention. Her special pets were Sissy, Boulie, Toni and Teddy. Lesa cherished her step-children and treated them as her own. She is survived by her step-daughter, Sandee Cawthon (Tony); two step-sons, Don Schuler (Lori) and Brad Schuler (Kris); she had a close and special bond with her brother Jody Koroush (Becky), and sister, Mona Koroush-Hill; nine grandchildren, Damian Schlereth (Ali), Cash Cawthon (Savannah), Trey Cawthon (Madalyn), Connor Cawthon (Stephanie), Christian Schuler (Leslie), Andrew Schuler, Zachary Schuler, Kohl Schuler, and Sydnee Schuler; her great-granddaughters, Lily and Violet Cawthon and Layla Schlereth. Numerous nieces and nephews that she loved tremendously, and many dear friends. Interment within Fayetteville National Cemetery will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 19 and a Memorial Celebration of her life will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, in the Chapel of Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers. Memorials are suggested to any animal shelter of your choice. Arrangements are under the care of Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers.
