Glen Polk

Glen Milton Polk was called home to be with his Lord on November 23, 2018 at the age of 87. He was born July 17, 1931 to James and Florine Nellie Polk in Searcy, Arkansas. He was the seventh of eight children. Glen served five years in the United States Navy from 1949-1954. He was a barber at Tanglewood Barber Shop in Little Rock for 30 years. He loved living on his farm in Beebe raising cattle and riding horses. Glen was an active member of First Baptist Church in Beebe. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2008 and has resided in Lakeside Nursing Center in Jonesboro since 2014. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Georgeann; four sons, Milton (Sue) of Rogers, Brett (Terrye) of Benton, Gregg of Jonesboro, and Lance (Erin) of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren and four grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Myrtle Smith of Searcy, and Bertha Russell of Florida. Memorials may be made to Gideons International. Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday December 1, 2018 at First Baptist Church Beebe. Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with burial in Antioch Cemetery.
