Richard Thomas Gray, 82, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully with his children by his side on November 28th, 2018. He was born on October 3, 1936 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Dick and Elsie Gray. He graduated from Central High School in West Helena, Arkansas in 1954 and received a scholarship to play baseball and football for Ole Miss University and later played baseball in the New York Yankees and Washington Senators organizations. He was a sports enthusiast who loved playing as well as watching his two younger brothers play sports. His favorite pastimes were playing golf, senior softball, doing crossword puzzles, watching sports, especially the Razorbacks and Rebels and enjoying time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his two wives, Connie and Mary. He is survived by his brothers, Bill (Peggy) of Farmington, Jim (Barbara) of Greenwood; sister, Suzy Fehlig(Chuck) of Cave Springs; sons Rick, David (Lisa), Bobby (Beth); daughter, Kim (Mike); grandchildren, Drew (Pache), Kasey, Landon, Alisha (Ozzie), Branson, Robby, Heather, Caden, Mary Ashley, Madison, Morgan, 9 great-grandchildren and several neices and nephews. A celebration of Richard's life will be at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs on Friday, November 30th. Visitation is at 2 p.m. and service at 3 p.m. Burial services will be held in West Helena, Arkansas at Sunset Memorial Park at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 1st.
