Mildred Mabry Hartfield, 96, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 12th, 2018. She was born on October 28th, 1921 in Eva, Alabama to Adley Grady Ford and Annie Lee (Thrasher) Ford. She was the first of nine children. In 1936, the family moved to Benton County to farm on Pleasant Grove Road in the Bellview community. She worked at Munsingwear Company, Daisy Manufacturing, and later obtained her cosmetology license. Afterward, she had a successful salon where she developed lifelong friendships. Mildred was an active church member of the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church. She had a joyful spirit and cherished her family and friends. Her life revolved around serving and giving back to others as she knew no strangers. Her favorite pastime was playing cards with her dear friends, and planning gatherings for all to enjoy. She is preceded in death by her husbands; Howard D. Mabry (1972) with whom she had three children, and Walter Hartfield who brought three additional children into the family; daughter, Jeannie Dianne Mabry (1950); son, Lindell Mabry (2018); her parents, and five siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Mabry Neal and husband Gene of Rogers; stepchildren, Paula Hartfield Monterde of Purvis, Miss., Anthony Hartfield of Decatur, Ark., Floyd Hartfield of Purvis, Miss.; three siblings, W.H. Ford of Kansas, Val Ford of Colorado, and Sharon Ford Berbert of Pennsylvania; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Mabry of Arkansas, six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 16th, 2018 at 2 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service following at 3 p.m. at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, Rogers, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church, Little Flock, Ark., or Innisfree Nursing Home, Rogers, Arkansas. The family would like to thank the Staff of Innisfree along with numerous friends and family members for their living care and support. Services have been entrusted to Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, Rogers, Arkansas.
