Lynelle Quillin

Lynelle Quillin, née Cater, 94, passed away on September 17, 2018. She was born on June 6, 1924 to James and Effie Cater in Warren, Arkansas. As the eldest of seven siblings, Lynelle was a doting older sister and cherished daughter who often acted as a second mother to the children in her family. She married Walter D. Kealy while still attending Pine Bluff High School as a junior and graduated one year later in 1943. As a young woman, she lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Northern California before returning to Arkansas. She had a son, Jerry Kealy, who she fondly called "the love of her life". In the Little Rock area, Lynelle was a well-known pillar in the community as the owner of Impact Employment. Later on in life, Lynelle met her second husband, Marion Quillin. They enjoyed 31 years of marriage together. Lynelle will be remembered for her positive, kind, warm nature and wonderful sense of humor. She was a source of love, light and laughter to all who knew her. Lynelle is survived by two brothers; two sisters; a granddaughter; two great-grandsons; many nieces and nephews, and many friends. The family would like to thank beloved friend and caretaker, Joyce White, and Arkansas Hospice. On Friday, September 21, a 10 a.m. visitation and 11 a.m. funeral will be held at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at White County Memorial Gardens, 604 Eastline Road, Searcy. Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, (501) 224-2200.
