Mary Ann Bacon

Mary Ann (Parks) Bacon, 86, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 30, 2019. Mary Ann was born February 8, 1933 in Des Arc, Arkansas to Thomas Carl and Mary Emma (King) Parks. She was reared and educated in Des Arc, Arkansas. After graduating Des Arc High School, Mary Ann married the love of her life, Frances Malcolm Bacon,Sr., May 13, 1951. The couple moved to Pine Bluff, Arkansas in 1955. Mary Ann worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for many businesses in the Pine Bluff area. Mary Ann and Malcolm had five sons. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family. Mary Ann was a faithful and active member of Good Faith Carr United Methodist Church. Survivors include, five sons, Frankie Bacon (Jo Ellen) of White Hall, Carl Bacon (Patsy), Pine Bluff, Fred Bacon of Boston, Massachusetts, James Bacon (Becky), of Missouri, Robert Bacon (Kim) of Grand Prairie, Texas, four grandchildren, Chris Bacon (Tiffany), Pat Bacon (Amy), Ashley Price (Sean) and Kyle Bacon (Christy), two step-grandchildren, Sarah Jones and John Jones, six great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Ann in preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, one sister, two half-sisters and one granddaughter, Jennifer Bacon. Visitation is 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at First Methodist Church in Des Arc with funeral services immediately following at 1:30pm. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery by Garth Funeral Home. Reverend Mary Hilliard officiating. Pallbearers are Carl Bacon, Frankie Bacon, Bob Bacon, James Bacon, Fred Bacon, Patrick Bacon.
