Charlie Mae Chaney Jackson, 98, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, in Little Rock, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Jackson was born in Arkadelphia on May 11, 1920, to Jesse Cleburne "Cleb" and Pearl Lintz Chaney. She called Murfreesboro home growing up. She was a homemaker and member of Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock. She was a former member of NLR Women's Club, Good Earth Garden Club, and a life-long member of the Women's Missionary Union. She was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Carlton C. Jackson, her parents, and sisters, Marguerite Terrell and Janice Ione Chaney. She is survived by two daughters, Jan Alexander and husband Jim of Little Rock and Carolyn Tolley and husband Henry of Plano, Texas; one sister, Dorothy Dillard of Wake Village, Texas; three grandsons, Jaime J. Alexander, Jace Alexander, and Matt Tolley; two great-grandsons and other relatives. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 6, at 10 a.m. with visitation at 9:00 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock. Rev. Jaimie J. Alexander will officiate the service. Interment will be at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Annie Armstrong Offering at Park Hill Baptist Church, 201 East C Avenue, North Little Rock, Ark. 72116.
