Evelyn Jean Jones Spurlock, age 89, of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019, in Fayetteville. She was born June 20, 1929, in Clifty, Ark., one of six children born to Justin Speed and Edna Margaret Bohannan Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 54 years, Paul Edgar Spurlock. She was a retired seamstress from Levi Strauss.
She is survived by her daughter Janet Spurlock McChristian and her husband Dick of Fayetteville and a granddaughter Alicia McChristian of Fayetteville.
Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday March 9, 2019, at Moore's Chapel with burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children's Northwest Hospital, 2601 Gene George Blvd., Springdale, Ark. 72762, or the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
