William "Bill" L. King, Sr.

William L. "Bill" King Sr. of Bella Vista, Ark. passed away unexpectedly on April 4th, 2019 at the age of 66. Bill was born on April 17th, 1952 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Darlene King; parents, Jim and Dee King of Garfield, Ark.; daughter, Denise L. Isbell and three grandsons, Brad, James and Camden of Bentonville, Ark.; sisters, Machelle King-Moore and her husband Charlie from East Amherst, N.Y., Carol King Wells and her husband Jim from Vallejo, Cslig. and Lisa King Coleman and her husband Marty from Philadelphia, Ps. and a daughter-in-law Catherine King. He had many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son William L. King Jr. Bill worked for Bechtel after graduating high school until after his first child was born. Then they moved to Prince George's County, Md. where he joined Prince George's County Fire Department. He was in the first paramedic class and rose to rank of battalion chief by the time he retired in 1995. Bill continued to serve the community as Paramedic until 2002. Bill and Darlene moved to Arkansas in 2003 where he owned his own business "Beaver Lake Dock Services" for several years. He loved golf, fishing, reading, spending time with family and was always busy with many DIY projects. Bill loved cooking and entertaining and kept in touch with many old friends. Friends and family are invited to celebrate and honor Bill's life on April 11th, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Bella Vista Funeral Home.
