Carroll Lynn Self, 75, passed away on April 7, 2019 after an extended battle with cancer. Carroll was born in Waveland, Arkansas on March 23, 1944 to Alma Carrie (Vinesett) Self and Charlie William Self. He was preceded in death by his parents, and former wife, Sandra Webber Self. He is survived by his life time partner, Jane Dozier Self; his siblings, Glen Self and Barbara Self; daughter, Cindy LeGrand and husband, Greg LeGrand; granddaughters, Taylor Carr and Caroline Nowak; and great-grandsons, Jackson and Garrett Carr. He is also survived by daughter, Amy and her two children, Robert and Elizabeth. Carroll Self received a BSIE and a MS Architecture from the University of Arkansas and was involved in city planning, construction and teaching in the central Arkansas region and the northwest region of Louisiana. His management and design of the Gravel Ridge Sewer System continues to help grow the community. As he wished, he continued working after receiving the terminal diagnosis of his cancer and under hospice care. We want to personally thank Arkansas Hospice for the care and support for our loved one through all of this as well as his devoted friends, who were not only there to lend a helping hand, but put a smile on his face. Carroll Self will be missed and remembered always and today we thank God for giving us the extra time with him. May he rest in peace and be remembered for the extraordinary man he was. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity or to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. www.mooresjacksonvillefuneralhome.com.
