Brian O'Neal Scogin

Brian O'Neal Scogin, age 47, of Sherwood, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at St. Vincent North Hospital. He was born March 2, 1972, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to Larry Scogin and Nancy Gail Herring Scogin. He was owner/operator of Concord Boats and Repair, an avid deer hunter and was a member of Indianhead Lake Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerald and Irene Herring-Rogers and Delbert Rogers, Herman and Iva Merle White Scogin and his dad, Francis Hawkins. Survivors include one son, Jacob O'Neal Scogin of Sherwood; two daughters, Hannah Grace Scogin of Cabot and Lillian Tyler Scogin of West Memphis; his mother, Nancy Gail Hawkins of Cabot; his father, Larry Scogin and wife Ann of Monticello; six brothers, Lance Scogin of Mountain Home, Adam Scogin-Hawkins of Cabot, Rod Hawkins and wife Suzy and Neal Hawkins all of Columbus, Ohio, Stephen Bonds and wife Melissa and Caleb Grissom and wife Erica all of Monticello; and one sister, Laura Clampit and husband Karl of Monticello; one aunt, Janice Lane and husband Bill of Baton Rouge, La.; one uncle, Phillip Herring of Maumelle; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel in Monticello. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. preceding the service Sunday at the funeral home.
