Evelyn Elizabeth Wofford

Evelyn Elizabeth Wofford, 93, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, April 14. Born in Hickory Plains, she graduated from Jacksonville High School and lived most of her life in North Little Rock except for the last 25 years while she lived in Jonesboro with her daughter. She retired from J.C. Penney's alterations at McCain Mall. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Leland Jacob and Ella Mae Thomas; husband of 47 years, Edgar Doyne Wofford; brothers and sisters, Dewey Thomas (Mildred), Dayton Thomas (Margurite), Doyne Thomas, Ada Mae Vann (Pete), Lee Ella Wall and Linda Johnston (David). She is survived by her son, Wayne Wofford (Alice); daughter Pat Brun (Lee); grandchildren, Timothy Wofford (Maryland), Marcia Wayland (Chalmer), John Wofford, Jeff Brun (Julie) and Jason Brun; great-grandchildren, James Wayland, Michael Wayland, Alex Wayland, Caroline Brun and Catherine Brun; sisters, Judith Pugh and Modean Gertsch and lots of nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a very loving sister, mom, granny and great-grandma. She will be truly missed. The family would like to thank St. Bernard's Hospital and Hospice along with all the doctors and nurses for their care. Sincere thanks as well to Jane Strickland for her loving care.
