Evelyn Louise Pettus

Evelyn Louise Pettus, 92, of Springdale passed away Monday, April 15, 2019 at North Hills Life Care and Rehab in Fayetteville. She was born September 1, 1926 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Elbert and Edna Tucker Hatchett. Evelyn was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a great cook and her family's prayer warrior. She loved helping her church (Brush Creek Baptist Church) and she especially enjoyed rocking babies in the nursery. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd (Junior) Pettus, one brother, Raymond Hatchett and one daughter Carol Bales. Survivors include one sister Doris Layne Of Fayetteville; two sons, Kent Pettus and wife Jennifer of Greenland and Leslie Pettus of Springdale; one daughter, Ginnie Wright of Fayetteville; thirteen grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, with one on the way and four great-great-grandchildren with one the way. Funeral services will be Friday, April 19, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Pastor Don Warford and Pastor Terry Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital Northwest, P.O.
