Gene Stafford

Gene Stafford, age 88, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, April 15, 2019. He started his long career with Arkansas Power and Light Company on a surveying crew. He worked as a draftsman in the headquarters until transferring to the Woodward Substation of Middle South Utilities, ultimately retiring in 1990 from Entergy as a systems dispatcher. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Hilda Reed Stafford, whom he married on March 20, 1960; a son, Bryan Stafford and wife Stephanie of Little Rock; two grandsons, Caleb Stafford and Micah Stafford, whom he loved dearly; a special sister-in-law, Mattie Rees; and his loving caregiver of many years, Queshaun Brantley. Visitation will be Saturday, April 20, 2019, beginning at 1 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Dr. Roger Stewart officiating.
