Dorothy Jo "Jodie" England

Dorothy Jo "Jodie" England, died March 24 in Victoria, Texas, with family by her side. She was 89. Jodie was born June 5, 1929, in Rogers, Ark., to O.C. and Mildred Wilks, and was a loving mother, wife, caregiver, and devoted Christian. Jodie was an RHS majorette in 1945, the Arizona Ladies' State Champion in archery in 1958-59, and was able to help so many as a co-founder of the AA National Convention "Springtime in the Ozarks" in 1976. Jodie is survived by daughter, Josette Griffith and husband Ray; son, Michael England and wife Lynn; daughter Carissa Cantwell; brother, J.B. Head and wife Patti; grandson, Mark Griffith and wife Amelia; great-granddaughter, Sophia Griffith, and step-great-granddaughter, Carlee Blevins. Jodie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Marcus Cantwell; husband, Keith England, and brother, Howard Wilks. Burial will be April 26 at 2 p.m.at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
