William Jesse Cluck

William Jesse Cluck, known to most as Jesse, passed away surrounded by his family on April 22, 2019 at his home in Las Animas, Colorado at the age of 71. Jesse was born on September 5, 1947 in Van Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas to Thamas and Katherine (Philips) Cluck. Jesse was an entrepreneur starting with a Sonic in Little Rock, Arkansas managing several Sonics in Arkansas, then moved to Guymon, Oklahoma with his wife, Fabby and seven daughters. Jesse purchased an old Sonic Drive-In in Guymon, Oklahoma and built it into a great family owned and operated business with his daughters playing a vital role in the business's success. Jesse was a Christian but re-affirmed his faith in Christ and became a member of the Catholic Church in Guymon, Oklahoma in 1988. He lived his Cursillo (course in religion) and was sponsored by his brother-in-law, Leroy Montano. He was active in the catholic church and several organizations. He housed missionary nuns and sponsored the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). The family then moved to Lamar to manage the Sonic Drive-In, later purchasing the business making it into a thriving business in the community. Jesse and Fabby then moved to Las Animas, Colorado and bought a building in which they built into family restaurant, Seven Stars, named for their seven daughters. In 1994 Jesse began his bail bondsman business, La. Bail Bonds. In 1996 he was awarded the Sheriff's Citizen of the Year. Jesse retired from Seven Stars in approximately 2009 and since he was a family-oriented man, he and his wife traveled visiting family and site seeing in their RV. Jesse is survived by his wife, Fabiola Cluck; daughters, Jurella Costilla, Janice (Allen) Sorrow, Nancy Losey, Norma (Kevin) Swanson, Cynthia (Jeff) Hernandez, and Florinda Seventhia (Brian) Johnston; sisters, Patricia Gauwain and Carolyn Cluck; brothers, Orville Cluck, Doyle Cluck; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Fernando) Ruiz, Jean (Ted) Hemphill, Florinda Reed, Mabel Garcia; brother-in-law, Leroy Montano; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thamas and Katherine Cluck; daughters, Becky Cluck and Eunice Williams; siblings, Tommy, Otis, Joy, Thelma Lee, Lavada, and Lena; as well as several nieces and nephews.
