Benjamin Clay Oldner

Dumas, AR, 1952 - 2019

Benjamin Clay Oldner of Dumas, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019. The former Mayor of Dumas was an avid Arkansas Razorback and Dumas Bobcat fan, business owner and a master story-teller. He never met a stranger and had more friends from every walk of life.
During his full life Clay served as the Mayor of Dumas where his knack for promoting and cheerleading rose to a new level. He loved campaigning and he loved being a part of the community. During his tenure as mayor, Clay was instrumental in the completion of the city municipal complex, police station and EMT units and the new hospital.
Clay is preceded in death by his father, William Woodrow Oldner and mother, Betty Jane Oldner and sister Jane Oldner Traylor. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Sherry, their sons, Steven and Jonathon of Dumas and daughter, May Johnson, husband Karle of Little Rock, brother John William and wife Missie of Houston, Texas, and many friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. First Baptist Church FAITH Center, Service, Sunday, 2:30 p.m. First Baptist Church in Dumas with Rev.
