Dorothy Ann Stockli

DOROTHY ANN STOCKLI, 83, of NLR, Ark., passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019, in Sherwood, Ark. She was born October 23, 1935 to Charles and Dorothy Orme in Great Britain. Dorothy is survived by two sons; Mark Jones-Stockli and Neil Stockli; one daughter, Yvette Stockli; son-in-law, Tony Jones-Stockli; three grandchildren; Amanda Stockli, Adam Stockli, and Japheth Stockli. Dorothy was a RN and received her education from Oxford University in Great Britain—where she also worked as a midwife. She worked in a neonatal intensive care unit in Little Rock, Ark. for 20 years. Her knowledge and skill enabled her to help save the lives of many babies. This same knowledge and skill also enabled her to train other nurses and nursing students—some who have become very successful. Dorothy had so much compassion. She made sure to knit booties and caps for every baby in the NICU every Christmas because she loved each and every one of them so very much. Dorothy will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was a true lady. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. and services at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in NLR, Ark.
