Mother Katie Marie Allen, 81, of Carlisle passed away Tuesday April 23. Mother Allen was a long time member of The Historic Revelation COGIC where she served as a member of the Mothers Board and was past President of the Usher Board. "Momma Katie" as she was affectionately called, was well known throughout Lonoke County for her culinary skills. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, five sisters and two sons, Frank and John Albert Hale. Left to mourn her passing are sons, David Burnett, Gary Hale, Fredrick Hale, Timothy Hale of Carlisle and Carlos Hale of North Little Rock, four daughters Linda Young-Walker of Lonoke, Marie Whitson (Keith) and Terri Hale of Los Angeles, Calif. and Lucretia Hale of Carlisle one sister, Mae Delois Cooney, 38 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday May 1 at 11 a.m. at The Historic Revelation COGIC in Carlisle the family hour will be from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday April 30 at the church with interment at Carlisle Cemetery.
