Ola Mae Wright
Ola Mae Wright of Hampton, born October 31, 1931 in Camden, Ark., passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the age of 87 at Chapel Woods Nursing Home in Warren. She was a retired homemaker and a Jehovah's Witness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Parr and Ruby Ables Parr; husbands, Amos Strickland, Ray Wright; sister Leona Reynolds; brother Johnny Parr; infant brother, Leroy Parr, and great-granddaughter Kenslee Riggs.
She was a mother, grandmother, and special friend to so many children and parents. She loved cooking, canning, fishing, basketball, baseball, softball and most of all her flowers. She was one of a kind whom was willing to give and help to make sure everyone was well taken care of.
Survivors include: daughter, Sheila (Bob) Dunn; son Kent (Elizabeth) Strickland; daughter Renee Hanson, daughter Marcia (Odie) Strong all of Hampton; step-son, Jimmy Wright of Lake Village; sister, Velma (Homer) Jeffery of Locust Bayou, sister-in-law, Sylvia Parr of Hampton; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Means Cemetery. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce/Hampton. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net.
