Bonnie Alice Bigger, age 92, of Fayetteville, died Monday, July 29, 2019. She was born October 27, 1926 in Saint Paul, Arkansas, the daughter of George and Ida Belle Davis Gabbard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. "Bob" Bigger; her son Fred Bigger; three sisters and two brothers. She was a Christian with a deep love for the Lord and attended Southside Baptist Church and University Baptist Church. She retired as head cashier from the University of Arkansas bookstore. She volunteered for 60 plus years at the Washington County Fair in the canning department and entered prize winning flowers in the horticulture department. She had a passion for nurturing life both in those she loved and in her beautiful garden. She would often be found surrounded by her cherished roses, wearing a broad brimmed hat and with her pruning shears. However, her greatest joy was spending quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Janice Luther and her husband Frank; two grandsons John Luther and his wife Ginny and James Luther and his wife Becky; five great grandchildren Claire, Nathan, Violet, Milo and Maxwell all of Fayetteville; one nephew, Jim Gabbard of Vilonia, Arkansas; one niece Linda Arterburn of Springdale and a circle of friends loved as family. The Luthers would like to extend a heart felt thank you to her Brookstone Family for their professionalism, loving care and compassion, which far exceeded all expectations. Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Moore's Chapel followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Mount Comfort Cemetery.
