Emma Jo Nelson

Emma Jo Nelson, age 74, of Benson, Ariz. passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019 in Benson, Arizona. She was born in Rison, Arkansas on November 18, 1944 to the late James Chester Brown and Leona Hall Brown-Howerton. She was an avid reader and loved babysitting her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Nelson, Sr., her father James C. Brown, mother Leona Brown-Howerton, stepfather Richard Howerton, and her sister Frances Green. She is survived by her son, George Nelson Jr. of Memphis, Tenn., daughter, Anita Jo Bryant (Mark) of San Antonio, Texas, grandchildren, Zackery Nelson, Mark John Bryant, Jesse Bryant, and Shawnda Hinton, and 11 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be 9:00 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Arrangements by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan (870) 942-3231.
