Gwendolyn "Gwen" York

Gwendolyn "Gwen" B. York, 67, of Rogers, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. She was born February, 16, 1952 in Galena Park, Texas to Pete and Jerry McKay Folly. Gwen grew up in a small town on the outskirts of Houston. She graduated from Galena Park High School and achieved an Accounting degree at University of Houston. She was a Project Manager for Dayco Products in Springdale. After her time there, she retired from Walmart Inc. as a Project Accounting Manager. Having a love for dancing, you would always find Gwen on the dance floor. She was a devoted "sports mom" and loved her family deeply. She loved the quiet and peaceful times she had on her boat on Beaver Lake. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Rick York. Gwen is survived by her longtime partner and best friend, Jeff True of the home; two sons, Matthew York of Rogers, Ark. and Jeff Martin of Durham, KS; brother, Lonnie Folly of Rogers, Ark.; brother-in-law, Dr. Jerry True and wife, Lori of Palm City, Fla.; sister-in-law, Holly Alexander and husband, Wayne of Citrus Springs, Fla.; three granddaughters, Harlee, Carrigan, Cheyene; and two great-grandsons. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., today, August 2, 2019 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel with Jim Moore officiating.
