C.L. Phillips

C.L. Phillips, 85, passed away on August 1, 2019 at his home. He was born on April 30, 1934 in Rogers to the late Isaac and Maggie (Reddick) Phillips. He was the loving husband of the late Lola Jeane Phillips for 57 years. He was retired from Rite-Temp and an avid Razorback fan. C.L. loved to stay busy doing woodworking, welding metal and other materials to make things for his family and friends. He had a skill unmatched by anyone. He also collected bulldozers big and small, but his favorite was a 1945, D6 Caterpillar named "Brutus". He had a saying "Leisure time is for doing something useful," and he lived it. He never had a harsh word for anyone. When C.L., and Lola Jeane married, they combined families to include their children, Steve (Sandy) Bradley of Colorado, Janice Bradley of Rogers, Lisa (Jim) Cavness of Rogers; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Fran Long of Missouri; one niece and three nephews. A visitation will be Monday, August 5, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home, Rogers. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. in Ruddick Cemetery, Garfield. The family would like to give a special thanks to his nurse Amanda and his friend/neighbor, Dr. Lamar Howard, both from Circle of Life Hospice, for helping them with such compassion. Donations can be made to Circle of Life Hospice. Online condolences can be made at www.rollinsfuneral.com.
