Nancy Hundley McKenzie, age 82, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., formerly of Little Rock, Ark., died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday July 28, 2019. She was born February 9, 1937, in Little Rock to Dr. Louis K. Hundley and Jeane D. Hundley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death 30 years ago by her husband of 24 years, Dr. Charles "Mac" McKenzie. Nancy is survived by her sister, Kay Fisher of Little Rock; her daughter and son-in-law Leslie McKenzie Santillo and Jerry Santillo of Ponte Vedra Beach, and four grandchildren, Amanda and Hannah Santillo of New York City, Allison Santillo Parete (Trenton), and John Santillo of Ponte Vedra Beach. Nancy grew up in Pine Bluff and attended the University of Arkansas, and pledged Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. After her marriage to Mac, she moved to Little Rock where she was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Scattered Seeds Garden Club, the Aesthetic Club, and the Country Club of Little Rock. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed gardening, blessing many of her friends as well as the Governor's Mansion with arrangements of her hybrid tea roses. In 2015, Nancy relocated to Ponte Vedra Beach to be near her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren, but often fondly remembered her friends and family in Arkansas. A private family burial will be held in Pine Bluff, and then friends and loved ones will gather at a Celebration of Life for Nancy at the home of S Brandon on Monday, August 12, from 2-4 p.m. at #4 Sand Bar Lane in Little Rock 72202. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Fla. 32257.
