Robert Archer Sanderlin

Robert Archer Sanderlin, age 86 of Benton, formerly of Monticello, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Heartland Rehab in Benton. He was born November 12, 1932 in Monticello, Ark., to the late Joseph B. Sanderlin, Jr. and Ruby Anne Archer Sanderlin. He was a retired Chief of Surveys for the United States Army Corp of Engineers and a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member the VFW and Anderson Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Sanderlin's hobbies included hunting, square dancing, gardening, golf, archery and bowling. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Julia Collins Sanderlin; and three brothers, John C. Sanderlin, Delaney Sanderlin and Jack Sanderlin. Survivors include three daughters, Bobbie Mooney and Linda Helton both of Benton and Judy Kendall of Little Rock; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Union Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
