Roy Dean Horton Sr.

Roy Dean Horton Sr., 78, of Bella Vista, Ark., died July 31, 2019 at his home. He was born August 9, 1940 to Herman and Rena Horton in Pangburn, Ark. Roy was a member of Richland Baptist Church in West Memphis, Ark. He graduated from Osceola High School in 1960. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, handyman, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, musician, hunter education instructor and an officer in the Marion Jaycees. Roy retired after 30+ years from Frito Lay. Preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Michael and David Horton. Survived by his wife Charlene Horton of the home; daughter, DeDe Franco of North Little Rock, Ark., son, Roy Dean Horton, Jr. of Bella Vista; brother, Harrison Horton, sisters, Helen Shaffer and Betty Shinn; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 5th, at Crittenden Memorial Park, Marion, Ark.
