Dorothy Jean Boyd, age 80, of West Fork, passed away with her family at her side on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. She was born on November 24, 1938, in Saint Paul, Ark., to William B. and Julia L. (Davis) Crawford. She is preceded in death by her son, Allen Denzer; two brothers, William and Johnny Crawford; and one grandchild. Dorothy retired as a sergeant from the Washington County Sheriff's Office after ten years of service. She also served seven years as a security officer at the Northwest Arkansas Mall. Previously, Dorothy worked in the daycare at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville and made an impact on many of the families she served. Dorothy was a fantastic cook and had been known to prepare many meals from the game that her sons had brought home. She is survived by her loving husband, William "Bill" Jefferson Boyd, III, of the home; three sons, Randall Denzer and wife Tangie of West Fork, Steve Denzer and wife Kathy of Fayetteville, and William Boyd, IV, and wife Ashley of Louisiana; one daughter, Kimberly Stiles and husband Preston of Conway; one brother, Jack Crawford of Washington; two sisters, Elaine Hansen of Arizona, and Vivian Rielly and husband Dennis of Wyoming; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Cremation and private family services are under the care of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory.
