Clifton Leslie Bowers

Clifton (Cliff) Leslie Bowers, age 71, of Springdale, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 10, 2019, in Springdale. He was born January 21, 1948 in Springdale, Arkansas the son of the late Lloyd and Burdena Harviston Bowers. He was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church, the VFW, the Northwest Arkansas Hill County Jammers and the Arkansas State Old Time Fiddlers Association. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and playing music and loved his family and his church. He is preceded by his parents, a daughter, Melody Bowers and a sister, Vickie Mason. Mr. Bowers is survived by his wife, Linda Bowers, of the home; three sons: Ray Bowers and his wife, Tina, of Huntsville, Larry Bowers and his wife Cindy, of Springdale, and Alton Russell Jr. and his wife Tracey of Lowell; four daughters: Samantha Bowers of Springdale, Tina Stroud and her husband, Paul, of Springdale, Kathryn Loughery of Huntsville and Sharmi Smith and her husband, Billy Joe, of Huntsville; four brothers: Jerry Bowers and his wife, Anita of Springdale, Steve Bowers of Fayetteville, Danny Whelchel and his wife, Leah, of Japton and Kenton Whelchel and his wife, Carol of Seattle, Washington; one sister: Joy Bowers, of Wilmington, North Carolina; 35 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Gospel Tabernacle Church, 1003 E. Apple Blossom Road, Bethel Heights, Arkansas 72764 under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
